@phenomlab I agree with you, otherwise they would have already done that.
Which email client do you use?

because Microsoft sucks at identifying real/spam emails…
Isn’t that the truth.

Something of an update here. I decided to install Betterbird to see what it had to offer over Thunderbird, and landed up playing with the interface to see if I could get it to something resembling what I’d consider workable.
The end result surprised me. I managed to get the appearance I liked, and along with some minor tweaks and add ons, I was also able to obtain the functionality I needed.
I’ll stick with this for a while and see how it goes, but so far, it looks promising.

Been using Betterbird for a couple of days now, and it’s starting to win me over…

Outlook is the best one for business man i think
-
@cagatay Agreed on the business front given the update of Office365, although what about for usage at a personal level?
-
i have not see anyone in Turkey who has a personal email account and use ist actively.
We use our personel emails when registering with banks, shopping stores and e commerce web sites.
For this reason, people do not care which email client they use.
This is usually the email client offered by the phones they use. -

Really? That sounds quite odd to be honest, but I’ll take your word for it! I think literally everyone these days has a personal email account they use all the time - I know I do!

I use Thunderbird & Proton Mails own app, both work well.
I’ve always used Thunderbird ever since using Ubuntu years back .
-
@JAC Have you tried Betterbird?
-
@phenomlab I’ve never heard of that Mark, I’ll have a look now.
-
@JAC It’s a fork of Thunderbird, and better
Betterbird is a fine-tuned version of Mozilla Thunderbird, Thunderbird on steroids, if you will.
-
@phenomlab Interesting
-
@phenomlab I’ve downloaded this but not set it up yet, are you enjoying using it?
-
@JAC Seems to meet all of my individual needs, so it’s a win for me. The “New Outlook” is nothing more than a webapp and not an actual application, so even with the latest version being marked for production, it’s too limited for my own purposes - one of the showstoppers is the lack of a unified mailbox.
-
I have been switching my gmail emails over to Proton Mail. I like how you can create fake emails and use for different websites so if they start sending you spam, you can just delete the fake email and bam, no more spam.
I have found over the years that email clients just seem to lack looks, features, functionality and such. I am interested in Betterbird though, especially since it seems very customizable.

I really like this feature, I’ve found some websites/companies don’t like the passmail domain and accounts have been flagged until I’ve been able to prove I’m not a bot or anything.

Having been recently working with @JAC I can certainly attest to both the usefulness, and some of the issues that arise because of that same usage. I really see this as a plus, and it’s certainly something I am looking to adopt.
-
@phenomlab I presume this is why they thought it was fraudulent activity .
-
@JAC Yes, probably.
-
@DownPW I’ve just started looking at Mailbird for my own personal usage. I have several accounts, so would need a Premium license (wouldn’t you know it’s the most expensive). Whilst I like the concept, do I like it enough to pay the somewhat inflated costs…
A conumdrum.
