@phenomlab I mean look what AI can do already with fooling people that they are a real person, and convincing people to do something they shouldn’t and even using AI to plan attacks and such. If you were to get an AI that was unchecked and trained it right, it could be pretty bad.
Of course there could be a good side but it seems like there are more factors to make sure of that than making it bad.

@Madchatthew exactly. Have you seen the video (Slaughterbots) in the first post? It’s obviously fictional, but a reminder of a very reallistic scenario if we had in that direction.

@phenomlab I did watch it before and I just watched it again. That is so crazy that that is even a thing and I wonder if stuff like that should even be made. Of course they say, well you can take out half a city, well the bad half. But who is determining who the bad half is at any point. That can also change on a daily basis. Start getting those local emps ready to fire in case you start seeing those things buzzing around. That is insane.

@phenomlab wow that is insane. With friends like that who need enemies. Nothing is sacred anymore, and makes me think that all photos and everything should be taking off the internet. All someone has to do is get access to a photo of you or a family member of yours to create garbage like this.

@phenomlab If I knew how to draw and be an artist, or even know how to duck tape a banana to a wall and found out that AI was stealing my work, I would be mad too.

@phenomlab makes me wonder if West was actually the one that put up the store or if it was AI doing all of that? And yes, I think there needs to be something in regards to using real people for making fake videos. I don’t know if I like the idea of the government getting involved, because they usually just screw things up and line their pockets with money from tax payers. But something somehow should be done.

@phenomlab wow that is crazy how stuff like that exist these days, especially with the history of the world and such. Maybe we don’t learn as much as we think from past mistakes. Although, maybe he is the exception to the rule that 99% of people don’t think that way.
