@phenomlab That is an amazing page! Thanks for sharing that. Corentin did a great job with it.

@jac Be warned that the content is pretty graphic, and it’s NOT an easy watch

Lest “we the sheeple” are delusional enough to believe/hope all this “subcommittee hearing theater” will result in consequences with any real teeth:
Proof positive: Talk is cheap. Actions are loud. And speak volumes.
Not to single Amy out because I’ll be I can do same for pretty much every politard talking head on the subcommittee. I picked Amy because she was one making some of the more pointed comments and also a former presidential candidate.
Hmm… Walk of shame anyone? How many of your elected officials are voting with their feet? I’ll be not a single one.
From website of committee chair, Richard Blumenthal:
Ranking member Marsha Blackburn, who is extra hip and also sporting Instagram button:
Senator Edward Markey, who d**n near busted an elbow patting himself on the back for his previous child protection litigation;
Senator Brian Schatz, HI
Senator Tammy Baldwin
You get the picture: Hypocrites to the last member. I’ll finish this up with just one more from “the other side of the isle”, lest anybody get the false impression I am favoring one side:
Well, the above is two thirds of the committee, I’ll leave those even remotely interested to do their own clickery:

Oh right, I’ve not seen it but I didn’t expect it to be as bad as it’s being made out? I guess I’ll have to watch it of course to know what you guys are thinking etc .

With Facebook, WhatsApp and other dodgy social networks down users have flocked to Sudonix for some general honest chat .
it is great that we have NodeBB forums and are not in need of Facebook…

@crazycells exactly. Facebook could fall off the face of the earth, and I wouldn’t miss it at all. However , you have to have pity on those who wouldn’t be able to post what they were having for lunch, or that pointless post around a venue they’ve checked into that nobody really cares about…
And then there’s the s**t posters…

I hope it does
-
@crazycells that makes two of us. Take Instagram with it as well.
-
@phenomlab yes, exactly that would do a good cleaning to the internet from the booty pics
-
@crazycells it’s the route of all things evil, well most anyway .
I won’t touch it nowadays and haven’t for a few years, the only one I look at now and again is X (Twitter) but I just feel social media is no longer for me, I’d happily get rid of them all 🤯.

I’ve done pretty much that already. Hardly use any of them these days. Never really was a social media fan anyway so don’t miss it at all.

Pretty much the same for me Mark, I don’t understand people’s pleasure in starting arguments or posting what they’ve just done five seconds ago, it’s all very tedious isn’t it.
That’s why we have Sudonix

@JAC yeah, I’ve never seen the appeal. I tried to get into LinkedIn a while back and then gave up because it’s just chock full of people who have far too much time on their hands telling anyone who will listen about how great they are and what they have achieved.
Actions speak louder than words.
