    @phenomlab you’d hope they’d give their best speeds but we’ll wait and see. Coverage should be better at least, not that there’s anything wrong with it but I’d expect more 5G coverage over time.

    I also wanted to post this. Here are the latest stats for the server so far. This is with all of the software setup and running along with doing updates once a week after testing them on my dev test server and making sure websites function properly.

    Nice review. I would like to see the new 2a plus compared to the s23 plus and s23 ultra.

    The price on the nothing phone is so much better. You could get 2 nothing phones and almost 3 for the same price as a samsung phone. The performance on the 2a plus looks really promising if the graphs are true.

    @Madchatthew I use it here. It is faster, but not sure if that extends to build times.

    @phenomlab said in Proton launch password manager:

    will charge for it no matter if you have the full-blown package like I have. If they offered a discount or another incentive, I may well have taken a different view, but to me, it just seems like easy revenue.

    Much like Surfshark do, they are owned by the same company now and you can tell, there’s always something extra cropping up like dedicated IPs, loads of discounts thrown your way which is fair enough but I don’t think you should have to them thrown at you constantly 😃.

    Fortunately Proton have kept things simple and have all products under one roof should you buy the right package.

    @phenomlab I was. I was one of the ones they gave access to, to help fix the computers and get them back up and running. It was fun running around the floor again fixing computers. Reminded me of my IT days haha

    @JAC the guy had already mentioned the app previously during the video and said how to download it and how much he loves it etc, and then went onto thank them for sponsoring the video 😂.

    @My-Account said in Hi there:

    That’s cool to know, a salute from my side, nowadays people like you are found very rarely, trust me everyone wants to monetize their content over random tracking and advertising stuff.
    There’s a very small portion of the open-source community fighting to make the web better.

    Thanks. I’m really not into monetizing content, or charging someone the earth for a solution to a problem. I get much more satisfaction from the fact that users return on a regular basis and get the help they need with technical issues, plus insights into areas which they are less comfortable. The entire point of this site is to allow users to ask questions and get real world answers whilst at the same time, learning as they go.

    The real issue here is that most people consider forums to be “dead” in the sense that nobody uses them anymore, and social media groups have taken their place. Their once dominant stance in the 90’s and early 00’s will never be experienced again, but having said that, there are a number of forums that did in fact survive the social media onslaught, and still enjoy a large user base.

    Forums tend to be niche. One that immediately sticks out is Reddit - despite looking like it was designed in the 80s, it still has an enormous user base. Another is Stack Overflow, which needs no introduction. The key to any forum is the content it offers, and the more people whom contribute in terms of posting , the more popular and widely respected it becomes as a reliable source of information.

    Forums are still intensely popular with gamers, alongside those that offer tips on hacking etc.
