@phenomlab absolutely, their step brother residing in a different Countries.

@phenomlab absolute madness, no way to entice current customers to stay. It’s striking up a fine balance between rewarding loyalty and offering decent deals to new customers.
The same in fact happened with me with Express VPN.
@JAC exactly that. Not much of an incentive in my view. Just as well that I trust their product suite and know I can get a sizable discount just by taking a specific route.
If someone not so familiar with that route received a renewal email, they’d end up paying over the top which seems unfair to me and not in the good spirit of rewarding loyalty.
@JAC Interesting.
@phenomlab Certainly, I have had no issues with Proton and their suite of products, I know you wasn’t too keen last time using their VPN.
Once you love and trust a product and get the feel for it it’s probably not easy to be swayed, as you’ve said above you’ve renewed with Nord, now out of the VPNs I’ve used I’d probably go back to Nord before I’d go back to Express VPN, Surfshark etc.
Proton VPN
Nord / Mullvad
Express VPN
Surfshark
If anyone is interested in Nord VPN Topcashback are offering up to 97% CashBack for a limited time only. If anyone’s interested the link to them is here I use them all the time before buying something particularly expensive I always look on there to be honest.
I think there’s a deal for Surfshark on there too .
*signing up using the referral link above, gives you £10 extra Cashback bonus.
Feel free to take the above link down @phenomlab if it doesn’t mean forum guidelines.
@JAC thanks. The link is fine because you do not directly benefit from it, so it’s fine to post.
I signed up to Nord yesterday. Varied results when testing against Proton but I found Nord to be slower.
Tested on mobile & Android TV (Nvidia Shield).
@JAC said in Nord VPN renewal:
I found Nord to be slower
Really? Not my experience at all.

@phenomlab yes, not much slower so you wouldn’t notice but tests results show otherwise.
@JAC is this with a speed test? They aren’t really a good indicator of actual speed unless you use one specifically designed for that purpose.
Most allow a simple upload and download, but the below site is the most accurate
Cheers Mark, I’ll have a look at this tomorrow.
For anyone looking for a decent deal
that’s not bad at all!
TopCashBack still doing 97% cashback on that too, win win!
