@phenomlab yeah I have been reading about that as well in regard to Postfix. One little piece forgotten or changed in any little way can topple the whole thing down haha. It is crazy. And also, thank you for reminding me that once I get everything working and running to make a copy of those config files. That will help in the future and just may save my bacon.
Nord VPN renewal
-
I’ve just recieved my renewal notice from Nord VPN as below
You could’t make this up. You want to charge me £116.28 plus £23.26 additional tax* (£139.54 in total) for the 1-year plan of NordVPN if I simply let nature take its course - yet if I check your website, I can instantly beat that deal with a 2 year plan?
WTF Nord?
Now, Nord VPN is the only VPN product I actually trust, and actively recommend to others, but come on guys. Why send me an email like this when I’ve been a paying customer for years, and typically always go for the two year plan??
Is it just me, or is this a senseless approach?

Just renewed for 2 years, and found an online coupon netting me a further discount of $20 - thanks Edge Browser

Very nice! I have been using Proton VPN. It comes with their package. I liked Nord VPN when I used it.

@phenomlab absolute madness, no way to entice current customers to stay. It’s striking up a fine balance between rewarding loyalty and offering decent deals to new customers.
-
The same in fact happened with me with Express VPN.

@JAC exactly that. Not much of an incentive in my view. Just as well that I trust their product suite and know I can get a sizable discount just by taking a specific route.
If someone not so familiar with that route received a renewal email, they’d end up paying over the top which seems unfair to me and not in the good spirit of rewarding loyalty.
