Yes that is very awesome and I really like that idea! Great job with thinking that up!!
AI... A new dawn, or the demise of humanity ?
-
@crazycells Great ideas, but people read news outside of social media?
-
@phenomlab not anymore… lol…
that is why those sites should mark each photos/caps etc.
-
Oh dear. This was only a matter of time and when rather than “if”
-
@phenomlab this sounds like a technical error; because I have seen the same story being headlined as if “robot attacked human”…
-
billions of dollars in damages are owed for “unlawful copying and use of The Times’s uniquely valuable works”.
so, they create “valuable work” but they can only earn money out of this by suing others… lol…
-
@crazycells interesting indeed! I do agree actually - it does say in the article that it was a programming error, and one machine out of three was left running when the other two were shut down.
-
@crazycells said in AI... A new dawn, or the demise of humanity ?:
so, they create “valuable work” but they can only earn money out of this by suing others… lol…
Yes, exactly. I’d be questioning the “valuable work”
-
@phenomlab this reminds me old times when Uber came out… and arrogant NYC cab drivers complaining about Uber, how it is very bad for them…
eventually public benefit should be taken into consideration by the court…
-
@crazycells UK cab drivers did exactly the same!
-
@phenomlab yes, I personally believe this version of the story… I am quite sure the accident is technical error… but you know how media is… they “love” spreading fear… so they intentionally spreading this news as “robot-uprising”… lol…

Artificial intelligence will affect up to 40% of jobs worldwide, IMF warns - not a good sign!
-
This is brilliant. A chatbot encouraged to swear and bring its own company into disrepute.
-
Am I the only even slightly disturbed by this? It links back to a previous article located here
-
And here’s an update to that same article
Evidently, the recipient of this new implant can control a mouse just by thinking. Whilst the potential for such technology is life altering for those who suffer with disabilities, it also raises the immediate concern about how this technology will be governed to prevent it from being used for nefarious purposes.
-
@phenomlab this is more serious than Taylor Swift, this can be used to destroy the life of normal people too… let’s see how long it will take for legislator do something about this…
I am feeling that they will not move their finger until some real lifes are lost due to these fake images…
-
@crazycells absolutely. It just seems that people only stand up and take notice when it happens to a high profile individual.
-
@phenomlab in theory, this is already doable… but not “wirelessly”… I guess this is what they are trying to achieve…
in short, when you want to move your pinky finger, you activate certain neuron combinations in the brain and make a certain region of your brain “active” (neurons are activated by the movement of sodium and potassium in/out of the cells and therefore creating “electrical charge polarization” ), so even if your brain cannot control finger muscles, for example due to an injury, this information still can be picked up by the electrodes that are scanning the brain. So, as far as I understood, they are trying to build a technology to convert these electrodes with cables into wireless chips…
I will look further here: https://clinicaltrials.gov (after a quick search, I could not find the name of the company, so I am assuming they are collaborating with some researchers from some institutions)
all clinical trials in the US will be reported here, and results will be shared…
But I would not trust Elon’s tweet for the results of the experiments…we should wait until scientific papers are published… if anything, he is lying and promoting the stocks of this company… this is what he does, he is a manipulator and liar, and he can say anything for economical gain…
