@phenomlab Yes this is a very dangerous use of AI and it has already proven how people easily believe AI generated people and such. Also, people will tend to just believe everything they see and hear.

Yes, and without question, which makes this so much worse.

@JAC yeah it seems like there is more scary things coming from AI than there is good things. I also wonder if it is the scary stuff that makes it more into the media than the good. Usually, it is the scary and bad things that make a story. I mean you do have some of those stories that are good that make it into an article but it seems like the scary, evil things are what definitely make it, so they can make money.
But yeah, the people out there that abuse AI and do this kind of thing need to be dealt with. But what to do with them or about it is something that I donāt have an answer to.

100% agree with this. The news outlets will always publish the bad news stories as they sell / grab peopleās attention, it just appears to me like thereās the chance for so much bad to come out of AI rather than the good stuff.

@JAC and there doesnāt seem to be enough of the good stuff to counter the bad. Not as far as I see, anyway.
-
Yes, I agree with you both, @JAC, @phenomlab, that it does seem like the bad out weighs the good. I donāt think it always means that will be the case, at least I hope not, and that the good things will start out shining the bad things. Only time will tell I spose.

Wow. I bet every track sounds the same

@phenomlab 100% agree. This is truly disgusting and I hope that they get the same sentence as if it were real children being abused.
Iām going to add that, watch them say that it is art or some nonsense like that and that they should be free to express their artistic side. I am sure that the lawyers and juries and judges wonāt be dumb enough to fall for that.

@Madchatthew Given the content, Iām pretty sure the intentions will speak for themselves.

@phenomlab good grief! I think that no matter what good AI can be used for, they should maybe just shut AI down. Just like they should have just shut down social media before it took off because it sucks too

I donāt think thatās ever likely to happen

Cursor AI refuses to write code for a user
Cursorās refusal also sounded an awful lot like the replies newbie coders could get when asking questions on programming forum Stack Overflow

@phenomlab I attempted to go to this article and got the 404 error. I find that interesting that AI refused to write code. Especially when AI is made to do what you ask it.

And so, it starts. One of the first Robots āemployedā by Mercedes-Benz to assemble engine parts.
The 5ā8" tall robot performed the first public demonstration in a real-world setting of a real-world task - in this case assembling an engine part - entirely autonomously.
The costs of small, lightweight components have fallen as artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms and computer vision technology have led to rapid advances in the field of robots that can emulate human movement and tasks.

@phenomlab that is crazy. And so Cyberdyne begins. Once the world is populated with enough robots, it will take them over and start making Terminators after it nukes the world.
