@Madchatthew I’m in the same boat. We live in a mobile-first world these days, and any software vendor not rapidly adopting that mantra is going to find themselves out of business.
WhatsApp to allow users to edit messages
-
Not before time, WhatsApp is going to allow the ability to edit a message for up to 15 minutes after it’s been sent. Interestingly, there’s no way for the original recipient to be able to tell what the original message was, but they will be notified via a simple “edited” tag

Not a day too soon, in fact is it released yet?
I hate making typos and having to send another msg to try and correct… thats why I moved to Telegram.
My Whatsapp doesnt seem to have edit yet feature yet, so I am curious to when this will arrive -
@Panda according to the below, it’s been released already
I just tested it myself and it doesn’t seem to be there yet. In the article I posted above, I noted
According to Facebook the capability of editing a message on WhatsApp “has started rolling out globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.” So if you haven’t received it yet, fret not. It should arrive for you soon. Several new WhatsApp features are also in the works for 2023.

@phenomlab
Good news, Today my Android Whatsapp now has Edit!I like to correct typos, so had preferred Telegram up till now. So pleased Whatsapp has finally got that function!

@Panda Yes, seems I have the update also. I too like to rectify typos - which is why I often “edit” my own posts here when I realise autocorrect has decided to change things (often not for the better either).
