OKTA offering personal password manager
-
OKTA has released a free password manager which given their status in the security community, is well worth a look
If you aren’t using a password manager, now is the time to do so!

Cloud Solution ?

@DownPW Well, yes and no. It’s cloud in the sense that it is a hosted product, but it uses the biometric on your handset to secure the session and information.

I’m currently using Proton Pass but this looks interesting and personally I don’t think we should store every detail in just one app/service.
I do have Microsoft Authenticator which I’ve just sort of kept going because I have some old logins but generally a second password manager would be beneficial.

@JAC I spose you can think of this as having a back up as well. We do this kind of thing with our data, so why not with our passwords and logins. If one goes down or what have you, you have the other to fall back on. I have never thought of backing up passwords like that with another password app. I may have to consider this.

They don’t have a way to import from other password apps. Unless you can do that from the website. I haven’t checked that part out yet.

@Madchatthew The Okta personal password manager does. I imported from Bitwarden to test. Admittedly, I did have to export to a CSV in Bitwarden so I could import, but it does work nonetheless.

@phenomlab Was that from the app or from the website? When I looked on the app I couldn’t find a restore or import option.

@Madchatthew I actually did it using the Web extension, but i think it’s also available in the app.

Great, thanks both, I’ll look into this :).

@phenomlab Alright, I will have to take a closer look at that. Thank you!

Okta
I was curious if you are now using Okta or if you are sticking with Bitwarden? I see that Bitwarden has a $10 option where you get an integrated authenticator. I think that would be really nice and would be one less app to have on your device. I need to test Okta and see if I like it.
