DNS record invalid (Google webmaster)

I can confirm the site is now verified and the sitemap has been submitted.
Thanks chaps @gotwf @phenomlab

I’m trying to submit the sitemap to Google and have created a TXT record in the DNS settings, it’s not accepting it for some reason, I keep getting the error as shown below.
Many thanks

@phenomlab lol!!!
Well, I guess that is what happens when I try to use my brain too soon after waking up from a Sunday nap…
And just for the heck of it;
drill stockportcounty.fans soa ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, rcode: NOERROR, id: 11467 ;; flags: qr rd ra ; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 0, ADDITIONAL: 0 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;; stockportcounty.fans. Typically we use date in year,month,day form (sans any commas) followed by a number, e.g. 00, 01 in case we need to make multiple updates per day.
But the real reason I posted follow up… to give porkbun a plug! GKG.net, my preferred registrar these past twenty years or so was once upon a time just dandy. Then they were not. I put up with declining customer service (something I rarely need so I can only imagine how bad it became for those who did) before finally going shopping. One of my “tests” is for an actual phone number (cuz if I need support I do not want to be putzing about with chat). Then I call that number: How long before if/when a live human answers? Are they native English speakers or offshore? Do they have a technical clue or two or merely following some script to see where to route you? Stuff like thatl. Settled on Porkbun. Ticked all my boxes. Been using them for just over a year or so? Could not be happier. Competitive pricing and stellar support (at least for now… ).
Now I shall delete my brain fart post…

@jac loojs like the record isn’t setup correctly. Can you provide the steps taken ?
The only TXT record is what is shown here

I logged into VirtualMin > DNS > selected TXT record and added “google-site-verification=FkY98iOTmkSVm3k11bIeH9ZHOKRgMQLnQyyGdLBHuXE” and then added the record.
Probably done it wrong

@jac That’s not where it goes. You need to add this record at the registrar for the domain, so in this case, Porkbun
