@sinanisler it’s not small It’s a OnePlus 9 Pro. Did you use an emulator for testing, as these are known to not be very accurate. I get the same from my iPhone 13 Pro (work) also.

@sinanisler forget about indicator my friend worked on it i will share the files. I have migrated halfway and did not connect DB. I will do it tomorrow since it’s weekend i felt bit lazy to do it.

What friend did is, he will not relay on comments / answers count he will just assume page as certain length like 100% if page is scrolled to half he will display as 10th post out of 20 posts. (Not sure how it’s codeed.

@Hari I don’t think the speed issues are because of the theme, but would need to see the code to be sure. There’s likely to be several things we can do to improve performance.

However, the site is extremely slow

@phenomlab sure, this theme was developed by freshers, making a new theme using the code of this theme would be a nice idea.

maybe its loading slowly because they hardcoded the existing plugins or added more rules in the core to functions.php

either we can speed this theme or we can take code from this theme to the SiForum

do you want the entire backup or just the wp-admin logins to look into this?

@sinanisler that is a good news, wpdiscuz has these features like live commenting, reputation reward system and front end moderation like flarum. These are premium plugins are integrating into them few plugins are modified we should not update or redistribute them.

Wpdiscuz is free and all add-ons are premium.

Did you check the indicator is it working as expected?

One thing that’s worth noting here is that Flarum has trademarks and intellectual property, and with the theme you have looking almost like a replica, this may cause issues with copyright infringement.

i have read a few arguments on this (TM and IPs) on flarum discuss but i don’t want to bring that to here. siForum will not conflict with the laws.

if flarum is talking about trademarks they are only registered in Sweden or Finland … but not in India.

trademarks and IPs are first come first serve basis. whoever requests they will get TM.

i am not leaving flarum and not going to make this public. let’s call it a fun/home project. i do respect their efforts and work and i will continue to be like that.

@Hari all fine with me. Was just pointing it out. Most trademarks incidentally are just in the country where they are issued as you’ve pointed out (you’d need to won’t in each country you want it registered). I just know that Flarum in the past has come down quite hard on those who have directly copied their layout or used their logo without permission, so this is likely covered under intellectual property, which can be almost global (90 plus countries) to my knowledge if you leverage the Madrid Protocol - although I don’t think that extends to India. The logo of course is fine as you are not using it, but the layout is almost identical. I’m not sure that their trademark extend to the site design, but it might be worth checking.

I completely understand why you want it to look like Flarum because of the users being familiar with that layout and it makes absolute sense not to deviate to much away from what they are accustomed to - just be careful.
