What matters to you most when joining a community?
-
After seeing this post on the NodeBB forums, I wanted to get an idea of what members here think is important when joining a community, and the primary reasons they remain members and choose to keep coming back.
I obviously have my own views around how communities should work, and if you look at the below blog post from me some time ago, it’s easy to see why I think this is important
Really interested in views as to me, this makes for an even greater experience

Although you can still join a community for one reason, I believe all are important to “stay” in the community and come back.

@crazycells great points here - thanks. I’d like to think all of these requirements are met.

the quality of the subjects, debates raised and tréposnes brought@DownPW agree. I think the warm and welcoming atmosphere is what makes people return. I like the idea that members feel free to come and go as they please, but even if they are away for a while, they come back to the same experience every time.
