@phenomlab That is very awesome!
New Router
-
Well I went ahead and purchased the TP-Link Axe75 router. Link below. I also purchased some new network cabling, CAT 8. All of my cabling I currently have is Cat 5, maybe one or two is Cat 5e. So with the new router and the new cabling, I am looking forward to trying that all out and seeing the improved performance, which I am betting will be significant. So I can wait to get it all set up.

Good luck

@JAC Thanks!

@Madchatthew are you running your own data points in cat8?

No, just straight from the router to the back of the device. Unless I am misunderstanding the question?
-
@Madchatthew no misunderstanding at all. I always said that if I move house, I’ll prewire it throughout in advance before we move in. Same would apply to air conditioning and cctv system.
-
@phenomlab Oh yeah. If I ever get a chance to build my own place that is what I want to do as well. Go above the top and put in all Fiber Optic and have Fiber Optic from the data point to the computer. That would mostly benefit the data transfer on the internal network unless you were able to get fiber optic to the house. But wow that would be amazingly fast haha

Well I received the new router and was able to get it setup. So far so good and it is nice to have some blazing speeds going on the internal network

@Madchatthew sounds great! Are you running the latest firmware?
-
@phenomlab Yes, I updated it right away after I created the password when first setting it up. Then I made my configurations.
